Wednesday 23rd October - walk *** – Sunrise Felixstowe prom walk – mainly cloudy.

With mist forecast for first thing this morning and with our hairdresser of many years, the lovely Sue coming this morning to perm Mags hair and give Maeva her first trim we wanted to get out to see the misty sunrise at Felixstowe Ferry. We checked the conditions around 7 and it was pretty cloudy with no mist so it was not worth driving down to The Dip and walking to the Ferry so we just headed down to the seafront at the end of our road. It was a fairly uninspiring walk as we turned right and headed to the Manor end, fairly quiet, just the odd open water dipper, dog walkers, cyclists and joggers with a solid block of clouds nearly everywhere and it was not looking promising good for any photos :( The sweeper had made a good job of cleaning the prom of shingle as we reached the end of the prom and turned for home as the sun made an appearance above the clouds so I did manage to get a few pics after all. Home for breakfast and I actually managed to do my exercises before Sue arrived so haircuts all round including Maeva who had arrived with Jay, she had to be bribed with a bag of snacks but she was a good girl! We then continued to have a lovely day as Maeva is a real star and Dan joined us for his lunch on his 34th Birthday so a good day was had by all:)
We are having Maeva again tomorrow but I hope to have a windsurf foil at The Manor in the morning. An update on my poor old Dad, things are still not good and he is having a blood transfusion.
